Community Standards Community Standards Status: Published Version: 0.2.0 Published: Published Effective: Jul 26, 2026 For product, governance, operational, safety and legal review. This document has been approved for publication and enforcement. These Community Standards explain the behavior expected from people who use uChat and the conduct that may result in content removal, feature restrictions, Room intervention, suspension or termination. The Standards are intended to help people communicate, organize, participate, collaborate and conduct supported commercial activities in a manner that respects safety, dignity, privacy, intellectual property and platform integrity. This document is published. It is: Treated as a final enforcement commitment. These Standards apply to everyone using uChat, including: They apply to public, private, unlisted, discoverable, paid and unpaid activities. These Standards should be read together with the: The Terms of Service establish the contractual framework. The Organizer Agreement contains additional obligations for people who create, manage or monetize Organizer Activities. The Acceptable Use Policy may contain more specific rules concerning technical misuse, prohibited services and platform abuse. People using uChat should: Disagreement, criticism and vigorous discussion are permitted when conducted without prohibited abuse, threats or targeted harassment. uChat may consider context when evaluating reported conduct. Relevant context may include: Context does not excuse conduct that creates a serious or unlawful risk. People must not intentionally disrupt an Activity or prevent others from participating through abusive behavior. Prohibited disruption may include: Moderators may use available controls to restore order. Do not harass, intimidate, shame or degrade another person. Prohibited conduct may include: A single severe incident may be sufficient for enforcement. Do not attack, dehumanize, exclude or promote hatred against people based on protected characteristics recognized by applicable law or platform policy. Prohibited conduct may include: Discussion, reporting, counter-speech, education and documentation may be permitted when the context does not promote hatred or harm. Do not threaten, encourage, plan, celebrate or facilitate violence. This includes: uChat may take immediate action and may refer credible imminent threats to appropriate authorities. Do not use uChat to recruit for, materially support, coordinate with or promote organizations or movements engaged in terrorism, organized political violence or violent extremism. Prohibited activity may include: Documentary, journalistic, academic or condemnatory discussion may be evaluated according to context. Child sexual exploitation, grooming and endangerment are prohibited. Do not: Apparent child sexual exploitation material may be removed immediately and reported as required by law. Do not use uChat for sexual exploitation or non-consensual intimate content. Prohibited conduct includes: Consent must be informed, voluntary and legally valid. Sexually explicit conduct or content may be restricted or prohibited depending on the final platform policy, product context, applicable law, age controls and payment-provider requirements. Until final rules are published, Organizers must not assume that a private, ticketed or age-restricted Room authorizes explicit sexual content. Any final allowance would remain subject to: Graphic content may be restricted when it depicts severe injury, death, cruelty or bodily harm. Contextual exceptions may apply for: Warnings, visibility restrictions or removal may be appropriate even when the content has legitimate context. Content intended primarily to shock, threaten, celebrate suffering or traumatize others may be removed. Do not encourage, glorify, instruct or pressure another person to engage in self-harm or suicide. Prohibited conduct may include: Supportive discussion, recovery experiences and help-seeking are permitted. uChat is not an emergency or crisis-response service. Do not promote challenges, stunts or activities that create a foreseeable risk of serious injury, poisoning, fire, violence or other significant harm. Organizers of physical or higher-risk activities are responsible for appropriate safeguards, warnings, qualifications, permissions and emergency planning. Entertainment value does not eliminate safety responsibility. Respect other people’s privacy. Do not share, solicit, sell or threaten to expose sensitive personal information without lawful authority. Prohibited information may include: Information already publicly available may still be restricted when republished to facilitate harassment or harm. Doxxing is prohibited. This includes publishing or coordinating the publication of identifying or locating information with the apparent purpose of: Requests to identify an anonymous person may also be restricted when they create a foreseeable safety risk. Do not request, distribute, steal or misuse another person’s: Do not knowingly permit unauthorized people to use organizer-level or moderator-level credentials. Suspected credential compromise should be reported promptly. Do not secretly record, transcribe, monitor, photograph, stream or rebroadcast people when notice or consent is required. Organizers and moderators are responsible for clearly communicating applicable recording practices. Participants must comply with announced recording restrictions. The availability of a technical capability does not establish that its use is lawful. Do not impersonate a person, organization, moderator, public authority, payment provider or uChat representative in a deceptive manner. This includes: Parody or commentary must not be presented in a way likely to cause material deception. People must not materially misrepresent: Anonymous or pseudonymous participation may be permitted where supported, but it must not be used to facilitate deception or harm. Do not use uChat to defraud, deceive or exploit others. Prohibited schemes may include: uChat may restrict transactions or preserve information while a suspected scheme is investigated. Do not send repetitive, unwanted or indiscriminate communications. Spam may include: Legitimate outreach must comply with applicable communications and marketing laws. Do not manipulate platform systems, records or visibility. Prohibited manipulation may include: Do not distribute malware, credential-stealing pages, ransomware, destructive code or links intended to compromise devices or accounts. Do not knowingly direct people to content that: Security research must be conducted only with appropriate authorization. Respect copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, publicity and other proprietary rights. Do not upload, perform, stream, sell or distribute protected material without authorization or another lawful basis. Organizers are responsible for rights associated with: uChat may remove or restrict material in response to a valid complaint or other credible evidence. Do not disclose confidential or unlawfully obtained information. This may include: Whistle-blowing, journalism and public-interest disclosure may require contextual and legal evaluation. Do not use uChat to offer, arrange, advertise, facilitate or distribute illegal goods or services. Additional restrictions may apply to regulated or high-risk goods and services even where local law permits them. The final Acceptable Use Policy may define more detailed categories. Do not use uChat to facilitate unlawful weapons transactions or the acquisition of weapons for violent purposes. Content that provides operational assistance for violent wrongdoing may be removed even when the underlying item is legally available in some jurisdictions. Historical, educational and safety-oriented discussion may be evaluated according to context. Do not use uChat to facilitate unlawful drug sales, distribution or trafficking. Content promoting unsafe consumption, evasion of authorities or production of illegal controlled substances may be restricted. Educational, medical, policy and recovery discussions may be permitted when they do not facilitate unlawful harm. People offering regulated advice or services must hold required licenses, qualifications and permissions. This may apply to: uChat does not verify every claim of professional qualification. Commercial offers must be clear and truthful. People must not misrepresent: Mandatory consumer rights must be respected. Fundraisers must accurately identify: Do not fabricate need, beneficiaries, emergencies, charitable status or use of proceeds. Contributors must not be pressured through threats, humiliation or deception. Pay-per-view and ticketed Activities must provide materially accurate information about: Do not sell unauthorized access to copyrighted, restricted or unlawfully obtained content. Opportunities must not be deceptive, exploitative or unlawfully discriminatory. Do not publish: Publishers should close or update Opportunities that are no longer available. Organizers are responsible for the activities they create or control. Organizers must: Organizer status does not provide immunity from these Standards. Moderators must exercise their authority responsibly. They must not: Reasonable moderation mistakes should be distinguished from deliberate abuse, but repeated misuse may result in restrictions. Participants must: A Participant may disagree with a moderation decision without engaging in retaliation or disruption. Platform controls may include muting, participant removal, raised hands, access restriction, call termination, Room closure and related functions. These controls must not be used to: The existence of a control does not authorize every possible use of it. Organizers and authorized moderators may control access subject to applicable law and platform policy. A person removed from a Room must not: uChat may impose broader access restrictions when evasion continues. Where history-retention controls are available, Organizers and moderators should use them responsibly. Retaining history may support continuity, accountability and investigation. Clearing visible history may support privacy or session separation. Clearing Room history does not necessarily delete: No person should promise deletion beyond the controls actually available. Do not delete, alter, conceal or fabricate information after becoming aware of a likely safety investigation, payment dispute, legal inquiry, infringement claim or serious complaint. Relevant evidence may include: Evidence preservation must still comply with applicable privacy and legal requirements. AI-generated or AI-assisted content remains subject to the same Standards as other content. People must not use AI to: Materially synthetic content should be disclosed when omission would reasonably mislead people about authenticity. uChat may use automated systems to identify potential spam, abuse, fraud, safety threats, policy violations or security concerns. Automated signals may support review but should not be assumed to establish final responsibility in every case. Final procedures may include: Specific operational details may remain confidential to prevent evasion. People should report credible violations using available reporting or support channels. A useful report may include: Reports should be truthful and made in good faith. Do not knowingly submit fabricated reports or coordinate reports to silence, harass or punish someone. A report is not false merely because evidence is incomplete or an investigation does not substantiate it. Good-faith mistakes will be distinguished from deliberate manipulation. uChat is not an emergency service. People facing an immediate risk of death, violence, abuse or other serious harm should contact appropriate emergency or crisis services. uChat may take emergency platform action when credible evidence indicates imminent harm. Such action may occur before a full investigation is complete. uChat may review relevant information when investigating possible violations. Review may include: Access should be limited to people and systems with an appropriate operational, safety, security or legal purpose. Organizers, moderators and Participants may be asked to provide relevant information or preserve evidence. People must not: Failure to cooperate may be considered when uChat must act using incomplete information. Enforcement should seek to be: Not every violation requires the same response. Depending on the circumstances, action may include: The final policy may provide additional actions. Factors affecting enforcement may include: For lower-severity conduct, uChat may use progressive enforcement. A possible progression may include: Serious violations may result in immediate restriction or termination without prior warning. Immediate action may be appropriate for: Immediate action is not necessarily a final determination. Do not evade an enforcement action. Evasion may include: Related accounts or activities may be restricted when reasonably connected to evasion. A final published policy may allow appeals for eligible enforcement decisions. An appeal should identify: Appeal availability, deadlines and review procedures remain subject to operational and legal review. Restoration may depend on: Restoration is not guaranteed after a serious or repeated violation. uChat may provide information about enforcement to the affected account, but may limit detail to protect: The absence of detailed disclosure does not necessarily mean that no evidence was considered. uChat may preserve or disclose information when required or permitted by law and as described in the Privacy Policy. People must not impersonate law-enforcement personnel or submit fraudulent legal demands. Emergency and legal requests should use the designated channels identified in the final published policies. Do not retaliate against a person for: Retaliation may be treated as a separate violation. Reasonable good-faith efforts to protect people should be distinguished from malicious or discriminatory conduct. An Organizer or moderator may take temporary protective action while assessing a credible safety concern. Such action should be proportionate and should not be used as a pretext for harassment or retaliation. uChat may be used across different communities and jurisdictions. Local customs do not excuse: Regional legal requirements may result in additional restrictions. uChat may revise these Standards prospectively.
